Winter Thaw: Take Two

Forgive me for being repetitive here – but when I woke up this morning, the picture was even prettier than yesterday, thanks to the brilliant sunshine. So I quickly snapped a few more pictures for your (and mine) enjoyment:

The vineyard is my favorite feature of our farm and my favorite photo subject…

And I really like to photograph the grapevines up close as the seasons turn…

Look at the texture of that snow, isn’t that amazing? I don’t know if I’ve ever seen anything quite like it in my seven winters in Wisconsin.

This is like right out of a Russian fairy-tale. Which, by the way, have shaped my worldview considerably.

The cold cows… but they are not really that cold, look at the thick coats on them.

The woodpile disappears under the snow. I feel special tenderness toward my woodpile.

I know you guys have seen my garage before, but let us, for a moment, admire it again…
