On a farm in March you have:

Maple sap collecting steadily into a bucket…

The sweet-smelling hay. I love the smell of hay in winter.

Cows…

And cow pies. I actually kinda like the smell of cow dung. I am different like that.

Yes, you definitely have cow dung on a farm. By the way, ever heard of cow-pie bingo? When they put a calf into a pen in the shape of a bingo board, draw the squires in the grass with spray paint (or something), and see in which square the cow poops to determine the winner? Nothing says “country” like cow-pie bingo.
